How To Use Tinks Water Based Screen Printing Ink
- Prep screen—tape open areas.
- Load ink—spread above design.
- Flood screen—light, even coat.
- Print—squeegee at 75° with firm pressure.
Flash and Curing Guidelines
- Heat to 320°F for a minimum of 90 seconds (best practice is 2–3 minutes).
- Use a heat gun, heat press, flash dryer, or conveyor dryer, and a temperature gun to cure properly.
- Ink will wash out if not cured properly.
Pro Tips
- Flood after each print and mist lightly with water to prevent the ink from drying on the screen.
- Use 160 mesh count for best detail.
- Don’t mix push & pull passes.
- Work quickly—water-based ink dries fast.
- Clean immediately after use with screen wash or degradant.
- Always remove excess ink before it dries to avoid clogs.
