Is the 10W laser powerful enough for real cutting, or just engraving?

It’s a true 10W (10,000mW) optical power laser, not just. It easily cuts 8mm plywood or 5mm black acrylic in one pass and engraves stainless steel, glass, leather, and more. Great for both detailed engraving and actual cutting jobs.
Will it work with my Mac/Windows laptop, and do I have to pay for software?

Works with Windows, macOS, and Linux. Use free LaserGRBL (Windows) or LightBurn (paid, Windows/Mac). You can also control it via MKSLaser app (iOS/Android) or Wi-Fi/TF card offline—no computer needed all the time.
How precise is it? Will my engravings come out blurry or fuzzy?

Super precise—±0.1mm accuracy with an ultra-fine 0.069×0.157mm compressed laser spot. The 32-bit mainboard and TMC2209 drivers ensure sharp, clean lines even on intricate designs. No blurry or fuzzy results here.
Is it safe to use at home, around kids or pets?

Very safe for home use. It’s CE, FCC, RoHS, and certified, comes with a laser filter hood and safety goggles. The laser is Class IV, so just avoid direct eye exposure—same as any standard laser engraver.
I’m a beginner—will I struggle to assemble it or get help if something breaks?

Assembly takes about 20 minutes with the included guide—no experience needed. The package has all tools, a 4GB TF card, and reader. 1-year for parts.
